Waves - Liverpool Archdiocese Hub

Led by Graham Perrin, Coach at Physics Partners, these sessions are for schools associated with the Liverpool Archdiocese School Improvement Trust. Other schools are also welcome to attend.

This session explores fundamental wave properties, including reflection, refraction, interference, and diffraction. We cover the wave equation alongside required practical experiments like ripple tanks and wave-on-a-string. Career profiles demonstrate how surveyors, sound technicians, and optometrists apply wave, acoustics, and refraction principles in their work.

These sessions are fully-funded and are suitable for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.

In-person sessions will be held at St Edmund Arrowsmith CHS, 23 Townfield Avenue, Ashton-In-Makerfield, WN4 9PF. For colleagues who are driving, please use the church carpark on St Oswald's Road.
