Particle Model - Bedford Hub

Join us for this in-person session on the Particle Model led by Karl Stokes and Heather Pateman, Physics Partners Coaches, hosted by Kempston Academy, MK42 7EB.

A practical CPD session exploring how to teach GCSE particle physics with confidence and clarity. The session will address particle models, atomic structure, isotopes, radioactivity and nuclear equations, highlighting common misconceptions, effective explanations, useful demonstrations and questioning strategies. Teachers will leave with adaptable classroom activities and approaches for improving student understanding.

Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the Bedford Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
