DUE TO LOW UPTAKE THIS SESSION HAS BEEN POSTPONED
What is Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)? It is a fascinating field that is concerned with what things are made of, how they behave and what they can be used for.
This field is highly interdisciplinary and there are many links to MSE in the secondary school curriculum of many different subjects.
In this session we will introduce MSE, how it links to the curriculum and introduce a few examples of materials design that can be used in the classroom. We will also discuss the diverse range of career paths taken by MSE graduates and some of our ambassadors (early stage researchers) will discuss their journey in the field.
The session will be at Birmingham University Materials and Engineering Department on Wednesday 20th November, 4.30 - 6.00pm. https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/schools/metallurgy-materials/about/directions
Spaces are limited, so please register promptly to secure your place.
