Teaching Waves - Leighton Buzzard Hub

Join us for this in-person workshop on Waves led by Liz Nourshargh, Physics Partners Coach and hosted by Vandyke Upper School, Leighton Buzzard.

While the content of this workshop will be most useful to ECTs and non-specialist teachers of Physics, all teachers of Physics are welcome at this session which offers a great opportunity to network with other teachers locally.

The focus will be on KS3 and KS4 we will consider different methods for teaching wave terminology and demonstrating waves in the classroom, featuring lots of practical work, effective modelling and considering the learning difficulties students have in understanding wave properties.

If time allows, we will look at the GCSE required practicals for this topic.

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the Leighton Buzzard Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
