Waves at KS4 - Gateshead Hub

Description

This is the first of our Gateshead Physics Partners Hub meetings. The session is led by experienced, local coach Chris Saunders and hosted by St Bede's Catholic School, Lanchester, DH7 0RD.

Waves are crucial to our understanding of the Universe as we know it, they underpin how we perceive the world and how we communicate within it.  It is surely important therefore, to learn more about how these waves shape our very existence.  Aimed with the GCSE teacher in mind, this short session will recap the science of waves and look at some of the misconceptions that tend to confuse our students.

Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!
