We’re excited to announce our Year 12 Physics Study Day on Thursday 13th November, 10.00am - 2.30pm at King Edward’s School, Birmingham, B15 3RA.

This inspiring event will feature a range of expert speakers exploring the vital role physics plays in healthcare technologies – helping pupils connect classroom learning to real-world impact.

A fantastic opportunity for Year 12 pupils to discover where physics can take them!

Lunch and refreshments included.

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Geoff Heyes, Consultant Clinical Scientist, Deputy Head of Radiotherapy Physics, University Hospital Birmingham.

  • Dr Sophie Cox - Associate Professor in Healthcare Technologies in the School of Chemical Engineering, however her work is centred in Materials Science and Engineering - particularly in the field of biomedical materials and medical devices.

Please note this event is for Birmingham Schools, and schools are invited to bring one minibus of pupils per school.
