Join us for this in-person session on Waves hosted by Ripley St Thomas Academy and led by David Farley and Lewis English, Head of Science at the School and Physics Partners Coaches.

Teaching Waves

In this session we will consider the main challenges when teaching waves at KS3 and KS4.

We will explore different methods for teaching wave terminology and demonstrating waves in the classroom, and pick up ideas for introducing reflection and refraction.

If time allows, we will practice the GCSE required practicals in this topic.

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. This session is part of the Lancaster Physics Hub series of evening sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
