Teaching Waves and the Electromagnetic Spectrum

This workshop supports non-specialist teachers with teaching waves and electromagnetic spectrum. Participants will deepen their understanding of the salient concepts, gain hands-on experience with several ideas for practical work and demonstrations, and learn strategies to address common misconceptions students have about waves and the electromagnetic spectrum. By the end, attendees will feel more confident teaching these key topics effectively.

Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!

This course is fully-funded and delivered as part of the Hampshire Physics CPD Network series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers.
