This in-person workshop on Teaching Forces & Motion, is led by David Bailey, Coach for Physics Partners and hosted by Ian Ramsey CE Academy, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 7AJ

These sessions are for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists, early career teachers and teacher trainees. Technicians are also welcome to attend.

Teaching Forces & Motion

In this session, we will consider how force and motion are linked, unpicking unhelpful preconceptions that pupils typically bring with them. We will explore a range of familiar situations through the lens of forces. We will consider the role of focused investigations to help pupils develop a better understand of the relationship between force and motion.

Intended learning outcomes

This CPD session is fully-funded by The Reece Foundation and delivered by Physics Partners and forms part of the Middlesbrough and Stockton Physics Hub series of twilight sessions.
