Description

Join us for this in-person session on Electromagnetism led by Paul Hammond, Physics Partners Coach and hosted by Cardinal Newman Catholic School, Luton.

Teaching Electromagnetism - Starting with a review of key stage three magnetism including electromagnets, we will focus on the teaching of Flemings Left Hand Rule and progress to showing a variety of ways in which the motor effect can be taught. Finally, we will cover the topic of electromagnetism and its application to transformers.

Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the Luton Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
