Teaching A-level: Capacitors - Tower Hamlets KS5 Hub

Description

This in-person workshop on Teaching A-level: Capacitors is led by Kevin Walsh, Physics Partners Coach and hosted by Morpeth School. Refreshments will be available.

Starting with some basic electrostatic ideas, we will progress to the idea of capacitance, what capacitors are and how they behave. This will involve looking at the exponential function as well as combinations of capacitors and their behaviour in circuits. Problems and experiments will be addressed too.

This workshop is delivered at no cost but places are limited.

This workshop is fully funded and delivered by Physics Partners. It forms part of the Tower Hamlets KS5 Physics Hub series of sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
