Review of Physics Curriculum and GCSE Practicals

Description

This one hour online session for Heads of Department gives Science Leaders the opportunity to discuss and review the physics curriculum and suggest engaging and alternative physics practicals. This session will also be useful for teachers with any levels of experience so please do encourage ECTs to attend too.

This series of experiments with surprising or counterintuitive outcomes are powerful tools for teaching. They ignite curiosity, challenge learners’ assumptions, and prompt deeper reflection on underlying concepts. Such experiments are not just about getting the right answer but about the process of thinking critically, questioning, and problem-solving.
