This in-person workshop on the Required Practical: Electricity, is led by David Bailey, Coach for Physics Partners and hosted by Ian Ramsey CE Academy, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 7AJ

These sessions are for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists, early career teachers and teacher trainees. Technicians are also welcome to attend.

Required Practical: Electricity

In this session, we will consider the teaching of electricity, including the use of modelling for electric circuits. We will use practical activities to explore the rules for series and parallel electric circuits. We will also look at how pupils pick up unhelpful preconceptions around electricity and how to unpick them.

Intended learning outcomes

This CPD session is fully-funded by The Reece Foundation and delivered by Physics Partners and forms part of the Middlesbrough and Stockton Physics Hub series of twilight sessions.
