Description

Join us to shape support for Physics education in Newcastle and the surrounding area!

Physics Partners, a leading charity dedicated to high-quality Physics education, is planning to launch a new physics hub in Newcastle, and we invite you to help shape this exciting new provision! Join us for this in-person consultation, including a taster session on GCSE Electricity at Newcastle University on Tuesday 16th June, 4.00 - 5.30pm.

This session will be led by Tom Williams, Teacher at Royal Grammar School Newcastle and winner of an IOP Teacher of Physics Award in 2022.

About Physics Partners: Physics Partners operates on a “hub” model, establishing a central school in each region to host after-school sessions that:

  1. Address complex topics such as electromagnetism, forces, energy, and waves

  1. Build expertise in required practicals

  1. Develop technician confidence and competence in their essential roles

Our hubs also connect teachers with local industries and create a supportive Physics teacher network. Learn more about us at www.physicspartners.com.

What to Expect in This Meeting: This introductory session is a chance for you to share input on how our support can best serve the unique needs of your area. We'll discuss timing, location, and topics for our half-termly sessions—and we’re eager to hear what themes you’d like us to cover. Our sessions are entirely free of charge and designed to empower both teachers and technicians in delivering outstanding Physics education.

Register Now: Please book your place for this consultation session, and feel free to reserve spots for colleagues. For any questions, please contact paul.hammond@physicspartners.com
