How to support students of a range of abilities to complete practical work to calculate the specific heat capacity for a substance, both liquids and solids.

How to use the specific heat equation and the specific latent heat equation together to help with extended equation type questions.

Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the Stoke-on-Trent Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
