Careers visit to Wire Belt - Maidstone Hub

This careers based visit is led by Christina Astin, Physics Partners Coach.

Wire Belt is a manufacturing company in Sittingbourne producing conveyor belts for industries such as Food Processing, Textiles, Electronics, Agriculture, Automotive, and more, and exporting all over the world. If you’ve ever popped a piece of bread in a hotel toaster then the conveyor belt it disappears on may well have been made by Wire Belt!
Gary Allen, Managing Director, is proud of the schools engagement programme the company offers. He and colleagues will show how the company engages with both students and teachers at schools and colleges and will take the teachers on a tour of the company as if they were students on a visit.

These sessions are for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists, early career teachers and teacher trainees. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
